The Reichswehr-Brigade 15 Berlin of the Vorläufige Reichswehr was formed in June 1919, primarily from the Freikorps unit Freiwilligen Brigade Reinhard.The Regiment Reichstag of the Republikanische Schutztruppe was was used to form Reichswehr-Btl Berlin. The Republikanische Schutztruppe was a militia formed by the Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD, the Social Democratic Party) that, unlike the Freikorps units, was loyal to the government.
It merged with Reichswehr-Brigade 26 and Reichswehr-Brigade 34 in October 1919 into Reichswehr-Brigade 15 of the Übergangsheer.
It was used to form 3. Division in October 1920.
