Formed in The Hague in South Holland in December 1940. In April 1941 the Abteilung was moved to Plovdiv in Bulgaria and in May 1941 it was moved to Aegina, one of the Saronic Islands of Greece. It was subordinate to the Seekommandant Attika until it was dissolved in October 1944.
