Re-formed on the lower Rhine in October 1944 from Rheinfähren-Kompanien of the Landespioniere. It was employed with the General der Pioniere with Heeresgruppe B to which it was operationally subordinate. It was subordinate to the Befehlshaber der Sicherungsstreitkräfte in all other matters. In December 1944 it was employed in the area of Groningen, then transferred to Duisberg. In March 1945 what remained of the Flottille was shifted to Münster and it continued moving north until it became impossible to move any further. It was dissolved in April 1945 with its staff and crews employed as alarm units in infantry service.
