Formed in May 1944 in preparation for the defence of an Allied invasion. In May 1944 new boats built in Germany were moved to south west Norway to prepare. After the Normandy Invasion boats were sent to the Channel, whichever remained were used to secure the Norwegian coast and the Baltic Sea. It was dissolved on 20 August 1944.
