Formed in Wesermünde in September 1939. Until 1940 the Flotilla was employed in the North Sea. From then it was shifted to the Baltic and became subordinate to the B.S.O.. It was employed in Danish Waters and in particular Kattegat, The Belt & The Sound. On 01 October 1943 the Flotilla was redesignated 10. Sicherungsflottille.
