Formed in May 1940 and based at Stavanger. On 10 Jan 1942 it was moved to West France at the Atlantic Coast with bases at Lorient & Auray. After the Allied Invasion of 1944 the Flotilla was based at Lorient with sections at Saint-Nazaire and subordinate to the local Seekommandant. As they both were siege towns, the crews & staff were involved in land employment until the wars end.
