Formed in September 1940 from ex-Dutch fishing steamers & cutters and operated in the area of Holland. At the end of 1941 these vessels were transferred to the Hafenschutzflottillen and the 31. Minensuchflottillen received Kriegsfischkutter as replacement. In 1941 the Flotilla was moved to Gulf of Finland and employed at Tallinn in the Narva Bay. With the retreat of the Eastern Front the Flotilla was moved to the central Baltic.

After the war it was used by the Deutscher Minenräumdienst (DMRL, the German Mine Sweeping Administration, GMSA; Kriegsmarine vessels under Allied control used for mine sweeping duties 1945-1948) for mine clearing in the western Baltic until the end of 1947.
