Formed on 05 Oct 1939 with 8 heavy fishing steamers and was employed in security duties in the North Sea. In 1940 it was moved to Holland, then North & West France where it was employed in security duties. In January 1943 the Flotilla was dissolved & its Staff moved to the 26. Minensuchflottille.
