Formed on 24 September 1939 with 8 heavy fishing steamers and employed in security duties in the Baltic. The Flotilla performed escort duties to Norway during Operation 'Weserübung' & after that it was employed on escort & security service around Norway. The Flotilla was dissolved in March 1943 and its Staff transferred to the 30. Minensuchflottille.
