Formed on 15 March 1943 and employed for security & escort duties in Norway, mainly northern Norway.

With the wars end the Flotilla was transferred to the control of the Deutscher Minenräumdienst (DMRL, the German Mine Sweeping Administration, GMSA; Kriegsmarine vessels under Allied control used for mine sweeping duties 1945-1948) for mine clearing operations in Norwegian Fjords & Skagerrak. It was dissolved in June 1947.
