Reformed on 01 September 1942 and used for escort duties between the Elbe and Rotterdam. It was then used for the laying of a minefield off the Dutch Coast (South-Westwall) and for the reinforcement of the minefield in the Westwall.
After the war it was used with the Deutscher Minenräumdienst (DMRL, the German Mine Sweeping Administration, GMSA; Kriegsmarine vessels under Allied control used for mine sweeping duties 1945-1948) for the area of the Westwall (commanded by Kapitänleutnant Rau). It was dissolved in November 1947.
