Formed in June 1940 and from then to August 1940 it was employed in escort service in Skagerrak, Kattegatt and in southern Norwegian waters. From July 1940 to its dissolution the Flottille was employed for training. It was dissolved in December 1940 and its 4 boats were transferred to the 27. Unterseebootsflottille as Fangboote.
