Formed in October 1940. From the Summer of 1940 to the Spring of 1941 the Flottille was employed in the North Sea. It took part in both offensive & defensive mine operations, aswell as escort tasks and Channel Passes. In 1941 it was transferred to the Baltic Sea. Here it was dissolved, with its boats transferred to the command of 2. Torpedobootsflottille.
