Formed 01 October 1941 in Swinemünde and until April 1942 was still in formation. From the spring of 1942 to autumn 1942 the Flotilla was employed in the Baltic Sea. In November 1942 it was moved, over the Rhine, Rhine-Rhône-Channel, then Rhône to the Mediterranean where it was employed at North Africa, Sicily & the Ligurian Sea. It had its bases in Augusta, Cagliari, Palermo, Messina, Vibo, Valencia, Salerno, Maddalena, Piombino, Nettuno, Civitavechia, Viareggio, Savonna, Genoa, Aix en Provence, Carqueiranne near Toulon. At the beginning of 1944 the Flotilla was moved to the Adriatic & employed off the North Dalmatian coast & Pula. It was dissolved on 13 October 1944.
