Formed in December 1942 from the Seekommandant Toulon. It controlled the German enclave of Toulon in the Axis controlled South of France, the rest of the French Riviera was controlled by Italian Forces. The Chef des Deutschen Marinekommando Toulon doubled as the Arsenalkommandant Toulon. In September 1943 the Italians exited from the war. When this happened German Forces naturally took command of the entire coast of the South of France. The Deutsches Marinekommando Toulon was dissolved and a new Kommandierender Admiral französische Südküste was formed to control the increased command area.
