Kriegsmarine Matrose Pea Jacket
This Kriegsmarine enlisted open-collar, double breasted pea jacket with twin row of 5 gold metal buttons decorated with an anchor motif represents a Hauptgefreiter Radioman. The pea jacket insignia includes gold (yellow) rank (3 chevrons) and rate (funker) sleeve insignia and yellow embroidered breast eagle. The collar has twin cornflower blue rank tabs. In the buttonhole is a length of ribbon representing the Iron Cross Second Class. A whistle fixed to the end of a lanyard is attached to one of the gold jacket buttons and looped through a buttonhole. The enlisted overseas cap has two-piece machine-woven yellow eagle and standard cockade on dark-blue backing.
