The NSKK-Regiment 1 der Luftwaffe was formed in the winter of 1941/1942. It absorbed NSKK-Regiment 2 der Luftwaffe in the winter of 1942/1943. This regiment included numerous French, Dutch and Belgian (Waloon and Flemish) volunteers.
