The Galizisches SS Freiwilligen Regiment 5 (Polizei) was formed in July 1943 from I/Polizei-Schützen-Regiment 32. It saw action in anti-partisan operations near Lublin-Hrubieszow and Cholm.
It was disbanded in July 1944 and the men were transferred to the 14. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS.
