The SS-Polizei Regiment 22 was formed in July 1942 in Prague from Polizei-Regiment Warschau and some smaller independent units. It took part in the crushing of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in 1943 under the SS und Polizeiführer Warschau.
It was stationed in Poland until July 1944 when it was sent to the front where it was destroyed.
