The LVI Panzerkorps was formed from LVI Armeekorps in March 1942 and fought the partisans in the Spas-Demensk and Kirov area before withdrawing too Krichev and across the Dnieper. It fought at Zhlobin and Kalinkovichi and withdrew through the Pripet Marshes to Brest-Litovsk in the spring of 1944.
It withdrew through Poland suffering heavy losses before ending the war in the battle of Berlin.
