Part of the Anti-Partisan Operations in Croatia series by H.L. deZeng IV

Dates: 30 September – 4 December 1941. (1)

Objective: to destroy Partisan Chetnik concentrations in and around Rogatica/c.40 km E of Sarajevo and Višegrad, the later a town on the Drina River 69 km east of Sarajevo. The Partisans and Chetniks had mounted strong attacks in this area and the Partisans captured Rogatica on 21 October.

Enemy Forces: the Romanija NOP Detachment and elements of the Kalinovik NOP Detachment.

Axis Forces: Croatian 13th Infantry Rgt., elements of the Zagreb Cavalry Rgt. and other units.

Conduct of Operations and Results: the fighting ebbed back and forth for weeks and neither side made any substantial gain.
