The SS-Panzergrenadier-Ausbildung-und-Ersatz-Bataillon 3 was formed in April 1943 from the SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie-Ersatz-Battalion I. It took part in the crushing of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising under the SS und Polizeiführer Warschau.
