The 102. Motorized Division Trento was mobilized in 1940 and was held in reseve in Italy until it was transferred to North Africa in February 1941. It suffered heavy losses at Tobruk but after rebuilding it took part in the invasion of Egypt and was destroyed at El Alamein.
