The 10. Motorized Division Piave was mobilized in July 1940 and took part in the operations in the Balkans and later the occupation of Vichy France. It took part in the defence of Rome as part of the Corpo d'Armata Motocorazzato (CAM) and fought the Germans in September 1943.
