The 3. Infantry Division Ravenna  was mobilized in October 1939 and took part in the invasion of Yugoslavia to a limited degree. It was transferred to the Eastern front in July 1942 and was destroyed on the Don in January 1943.
It was reforming in Italy when it surrendered to the Germans in September 1943.
